Course Objective: The objective of this presentation is to provide an overview of the drivers of malpractice lawsuits and regulatory board actions, how to prevent them and what to do when they happen. The presentation will cover the concept of patient centered practice, informed consent, change strategies, communication and the role of triage and will include several case studies of patient incidents and complaints and how to handle them.
